Kay Wallis has over 40 years experience as a speech language pathologist. She has worked with children and adults across a wide variety of medical and educational settings including hospitals, clinics, schools, private practice, and University. Kay recently retired from the University of Minnesota-Duluth after 10 years of service. Her responsibilities there included teaching courses in fluency disorders to undergraduate and graduate students and providing clinical instruction. She has been a Board Certified Specialist in stuttering since 2009. She continues to see clients within her private practice (Wallis Speech Services LLC) in Duluth, MN which specializes in consultation, evaluation and treatment of stuttering and other fluency disorders. When Kay is not working she can often be found outdoors hiking, xc skiing, fishing, paddling or camping. Kay is pleased to be part of the Minnesota Camp Words Unspoken leadership team. She looks forward to bringing her years of experience to help children who stutter speak freely and confidently.
