Ben Vitello

Ben Vitello is a proud person who stutters and joined Camp Words Unspoken as Treasurer in March 2025. His journey in the stuttering community began in 2016, when he attended his first National Stuttering Association (NSA) conference. Since then, Ben has remained an active member of the NYC NSA chapter and has volunteered with Myspeech, supporting others on their stuttering journey.

Professionally, Ben brings over a decade of experience in finance, having worked in financial planning and analysis at Verizon. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from the University of Florida.

Ben is passionate about empowering children and teens who stutter to embrace their authentic selves and build meaningful community connections. Outside of work, you can find him hiking with his fiancé and their two dogs—or passionately making the case that the Jacksonville Jaguars are destined to win a Super Bowl (eventually).
