SLP
Hannah Jones-Brown
Hannah is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist living in Somerville, MA. She is currently supporting K-12 students virtually in both western Massachusetts and northern California, with prior experiences working in-person at local public schools. She received her masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Emerson College and has been working with school-aged populations ever since. Her areas of special interest include social-pragmatic language, speech sound disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and fluency/stuttering. Hannah identifies as Neurodivergent and integrates Neurodiversity-affirming practices into her work with youth. She is invested in "unlearning" traditional clinical approaches for stuttering in favor of stutter-affirming practice, including increasing communication freedom, autonomy, and participation for people who stutter.
Hannah grew up as a proud "camp kid" and ended up working as a cabin counselor at a camp in Missouri while attending college. She is very excited to combine her love of summer camp with her career as an SLP at Camp Words Unspoken this summer! She loves reading, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and spending time with her two cats.
