I am a certified Speech- Language Pathologist currently living and working in Boston, Massachusetts. I have spent most of my life living in Massachusetts but briefly moved to Virginia to attend James Madison University, where I graduated with my Masters in 2021.
Since returning to Massachusetts I have worked with a nonprofit organization in a variety of settings including schools, day habilitation centers and skilled nursing facilities. I have primarily worked with Elementary aged students targeting speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language, Alternative and augmentative communication, social pragmatics, and stuttering. Working with children, especially neurodivergent populations, has really affirmed the importance of leading with connection in our field.
During my undergraduate career, I volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s summer camp as both a water front lead and a counselor. I saw first hand how special the camp environment is for building community. This will be my first year at Camp Words Unspoken and I’m excited for the opportunities to build community and connection. In my free time, I play water polo and I like to sing and play guitar. On weekends, you’ll often find me outside whether it’s hiking, biking, paddle boarding, or skiing.
