Nick Almanza

Nick is thrilled to join Camp Words Unspoken in California. With over 13 summers of experience in a variety of camp roles, he has seen firsthand the transformational power of camp for both campers and staff. Watching campers build confidence, discover community, and

embrace new challenges is what inspires him to return summer after summer.

Coming from a family of educators, Nick has continued the tradition of shaping young lives. He earned his Master of Education from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California and currently serves as Director of Resident Life at Ojai Valley School,

where he also coaches middle school basketball and supports the summer program as Assistant Camp Director.

Originally from Illinois, Nick now calls Ojai home, where he lives with his two cats. Beyond work, you can find him golfing, skiing, playing hockey, and watching Chicago sports.
